Brain injury changes lives in ways most people never see — but we do.
Whether it’s from a fall, a car accident, a stroke, or something else, a brain injury can leave people feeling isolated, frustrated, and disconnected from the people and places they love.

We know that story because we’ve lived it. Brain Net started right here on the Fraser Coast, created by Yolande Bromet, someone with lived experience of brain injury and recovery.

After a motor vehicle accident in 2012, the ex-financial analyst, business owner and director, experienced firsthand the life-changing impact of an acquired brain injury.

The long road that followed led her to explore, test, and develop practical recovery strategies. One thing became clear — peer-led support is one of the most powerful tools in healing. Yolande now proudly sponsors and continues to host our Brain Nets.

Today, Yolande and Brain Net members are driven by a single purpose: to make sure no one has to navigate brain injury alone or spend years feeling lost without support.

We Believe…

  • we believe recovery is built in community — where people aren’t defined by what they’ve lost, but by what they’re rebuilding.

  • we believe in neuroplasticity — the brain's amazing ability to rewire and heal.

  • and we believe that when we rebuild together our communities grow stronger, kinder and more connected.

Our Mission…is to create peer-led brain injury support that helps people recover faster and builds stronger communities.
