1 in 5 people will suffer a mental
illness at least once in their lifetime! These rates are even higher if
you include other brain related diseases such as parkinsons disorder. Mental
disorders account for 18% of the world’s burden of disease, yet the health
funding it receives is less that half this. However, with your help BRAINnet can provide a much better understanding of mental
illness. Our internationally recognised research is helping to develop
better methods for improving the treatment and diagnosis of psychiatric
disorders.
